Right after the summer vacations, after more than four years, it will finally be held again: TechniShow, the trade fair that normally brings the entire manufacturing industry together once every two years. Menko Eisma, director of Trumpf Netherlands, and Marco Mans, director of Tuwi, are already looking forward to it. Their companies have been major exhibitors at TechniShow for years and are also participating this time full of conviction. "The show comes just now at a very important time for both exhibitors and visitors," they say. "There is a lot coming at all of us."

Mans and Eisma promise full participation and throttle up." zoom=""][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][column_text]The gloomy, even somewhat negative noises surrounding TechniShow did not escape Eisma and Mans. Like about the timing (August 30 to September 2), which would be too close to the summer vacations. And about exhibitors who would rather deliver their machines, which often have long delivery times due to the lack of parts and components, to the customer than exhibit them at a show. That may be so, Eisma and Mans have no doubt. For them, there is no doubt that TechniShow will be another fun and interesting trade show."[/column_text][column_text]
Great opportunities...
This is all the more so because they foresee an important role for the largest event in the field of production technology in the Benelux at this very time. After all, huge investments are in the pipeline in the coming years for energy transition, making homes more sustainable and building new homes. Because of the war in Ukraine, defense spending is also going up sharply. In addition, Covid-19 has further demonstrated the vulnerability of supply chains, resulting in production close to home becoming more attractive and work returning from low-wage countries. These are all developments that present great opportunities for metalworking companies. There is more than enough work and money to be made."[/column_text][column_text]
... and challenges
But meanwhile, there are also numerous challenges, such as the scarcity of employees, that are forcing companies to produce much more effectively by automating and digitizing. "Metalworking companies face crucial questions," says Marco Mans. "TechniShow is an ideal moment for them and an excellent opportunity to orient themselves in a short period of time on the solutions to this. This is why this TechniShow is the moment for exhibitors to showcase themselves. Not participating is therefore not an option for Tuwi. We now have the opportunity to show what we are working on and what we can offer." The same goes for Trumpf. "Of course, such a fair is quite an investment, but we consciously choose to participate," says Menko Eisma. "For four years we haven't been able to show anything. We very much want to change that."[/column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][column_text]
Full throttle
Tuwi and Trumpf will not only be present, they will actually make something of it. Mans and Eisma promise full participation and gas. Their companies focus mainly on the sheet metal industry. Almost all of the main suppliers in that field will be present at TechniShow in Hall 7 of the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. There is a positive drive to put down a great program and make it a success, both with running machines - which is part and parcel of TechniShow - as well as other things. Menko Eisma: "Think, for example, of predictive maintenance that prevents machines from malfunctioning or shutting down. And digital possibilities with which you can get much more out of your production capacity. We will show very nice examples of this."[/column_text][column_text]
Sunny start
Eisma and Mans are not afraid that visitors will stay away because TechniShow falls at the end of the summer vacations. "Visitors will be fine," is their belief. "The days will be long by then and the weather will probably be nice. What could be better than starting the second half of the year with a visit to TechniShow? Nice day out, you meet a lot of people and gain energy for the rest of the year." They encourage entrepreneurs to also give their employees the opportunity to visit TechniShow. "It is important that they see what the changes are. The world has not stopped, developments at manufacturers have continued at a rock-bottom pace for four years. As always, there will again be plenty of firsts to see. TechniShow always guarantees that."[/column_text][column_text]
Super & unique event
Menko Eisma and Marco Mans do not hide the fact that they are proud of TechniShow. "Look what we put down every time in the Netherlands. It is not for nothing that so many visitors come from Belgium every time as well. We simply offer a top program. There is work on the stands, there are live demos and people are actively addressed. TechniShow is a super and unique event. We all need to guard that. We should not underestimate what an important event TechniShow is for the entire chain."[/column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2″][image image="13168″ title="Tuwi celebrated its 40th anniversary together with all visitors at the TechniShow in 2018 in grand fashion. ESEF moves in at TechniShow
The TechniShow and ESEF Maakindustrie trade fairs will be held together on one side of the Jaarbeurs complex in Utrecht from August 30 to September 2. Previously, both fairs were physically separated by a wide corridor. That will change this year: ESEF Maakindustrie will leave its original location and will now take place in the same halls as TechniShow. This will allow visitors to find out about the latest materials, flexible solutions, innovative production technologies and supply chain strategies for the manufacturing industry in one place. According to organizers FPT-VIMAG and the Jaarbeurs, this is clear, convenient and efficient. "For the visitor, this provides a perfect combination of 'make and buy' solutions," they say.
[/column_text][column_text]Menko Eisma, director of Trumpf Netherlands, thinks this is the stock market of the future. "Chains are integrating more and more. You have to think much more in chains and much less in machine suppliers, suppliers and outsourcers as separate parts. The integration of Technishow and ESEF Maakindustrie is a model for this chain thinking."
Jennie Elzinga of the Jaarbeurs adds, "It has now been four and a half years since the market came together on this scale and could take note of the latest innovations, sustainable solutions and the challenges of the future. So it's high time, after corona, to put on another big future-proof event for and together with the sector, so that everyone can meet and be inspired again."[/column_text][column_text]Visitors can register for TechniShow and ESEF Maakindustrie from mid-April[/column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
