The Dutch manufacturing industry is alive and kicking and at the same time faces many short- and long-term challenges. Supply problems, cost increases and personnel shortages are acute. Developments in technology and innovation have major long-term impact. How do you deal with them? And how do you stay successful? For that, the Chain Theater has the answers, from August 30 to September 2, 2022 at ESEF Maakindustrie.

From August 30 to September 2, 2022, the entire manufacturing industry gathers in Jaarbeurs Utrecht for the trade shows ESEF Maakindustrie and TechniShow 2022. Here you will hear all about novelties, developments and the future of the industry. There is a large program of activities and lectures at both fairs, including the Chain Theater at ESEF Maakindustrie, in hall 10 between the entrance and the 3D Square.

Chain theater: current themes

The Chain Theater will host presentations and workshops on all trade show days on topics that are current in the manufacturing industry, such as industry 4.0, productivity improvement, chain collaboration, planning and automation. Michel van Buren is the driving force behind the Chain Theater. He is managing director of BLMC, which helps organizations transform to success.

Michel:'We see that the manufacturing industry is facing different challenges. Through this podium, we would like to contribute to the industry by sharing the knowledge of our specialists. In addition, we have invited experts from science and from different industries and strong players from the industry share their practical cases.'

This is how to stay relevant as a company

For example, Erik Elgersma explains how to use data analytics to make better decisions, Pieter van Opstal of Dubré/Vorselaars shows how he shapes growth, and Arthur van der Lee of DCS shares the do's and dont's of innovation from his own practice. Gerard Ekhart presents a way to make sure that as a company you will still be relevant in 10 years.

He wrote the book "Our manufacturing industry is crashing. Of course, he also offers a solution: 'I see how the manufacturing industry is changing and believe that 'rethinking' is badly needed. Many companies suffer from Kodak syndrome and remain stuck in a business strategy written down in the last century. I have developed a new model, the Vitality Wheel, which companies can use to ensure their viability in the 21st century.'

Also for Technishow

The Chain Theater at ESEF Maakindustrie is certainly also relevant to TechniShow visitors, and easily free to visit. ESEF Maakindustrie takes place simultaneously with Technishow.
